The combination of creative thinking and technical skills is at the heart of the National Film&Screen Saturday Club, and we encourage you to bring your imagination to life.

This club is a great start to your creative journey; whether you aspire to direct, or become a cinematographer or editor, this club will open your eyes to the vast opportunities this industry offers.

Club members also participate in national events including Masterclasses with leading industry professionals and the Summer Show, where Saturday Clubs nationwide exhibit their work in a public exhibition – all for free!

National Film&Screen Saturday Club is FREE, and places go to students who want to expand their creative skills and are committed to attending on Saturday mornings from October to March!

Please note: by enrolling to a National Saturday Club at Activate Learning, you will be part of the National Saturday Club, taking place across the UK. We will be required to share the data of those enrolled with the National Saturday Club for administrative purposes.

The course will celebrate and explore the breadth of film and screen from production and sound design, to VFX and animation. Club members will develop practical and technical skills across filming, editing, sound, lighting, creative problem-solving, production, planning timelines and budgeting.

The National Film&Screen Saturday Club will provide you with the opportunity to explore technical equipment and software. You will undertake creative roles such as, director, actor, or sound operator, and most of all understand what it is like to work within a team in industry. Furthermore, you will cover music videos, short films, advertising or game shows.

You will be working in Banbury and Bicester College’s professionally equipped Film and Media workshops.

This course will nurture your talent, build your confidence and self-esteem, while providing you insight into college life. You will be better prepared for a pathway into further and higher education and to careers in the creative industries.

There are many creative options to explore at our Activate Learning colleges, once you have completed your GCSEs. We are confident that you’ll find a course that matches your interests and aspirations!
