This is a full-time course designed to support students in studying GCSEs. This course is for learners aged 16-19 who are either retaking their GCSEs or who have not taken GCSEs before.

It is comprised of the following GCSEs:

  • English Language
  • English Literature
  • Maths
  • Business
  • Citizenship

 

During the course we will prepare you with the relevant study skills and attributes to ensure you are ready to progress to A Levels, or other Level 3 qualifications, for example BTEC Extended Diplomas, with the aim of progressing to university or employment/an apprenticeship.

You will study using a range of techniques including:

  • group work
  • independent study
  • research
  • practical activities
  • homework

We expect our students to be fully committed to their studies and attend all timetabled lessons, talks, tutorials and workshops. You will also have a weekly tutorial.

In addition, students can expect to attend trips and visits according to the needs of the individual subjects.

This GCSE is assessed by a final exam.

You need to have 4 GCSEs at grade 3 or above including English and maths. Students with no prior qualifications will be accepted based on conversation and assessments with faculty
