As you may be aware, a yellow weather warning for snow and ice is in place for large areas of the UK on Tuesday 7 and Wednesday 8 March.
We are expecting very cold temperatures, snow and ice in the South East and wanted to encourage everyone to travel safely and take care, as well as to follow the weather forecasts for the latest information.
The risks for a yellow weather warning in the South East, as stated by the Met Office, include:
- Some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services
- Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces
- Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths
Please remember to be careful when travelling to and from college and ensure you check your travel plans in case of any disruptions.
We currently have no plans to close the college campus due to snow and ice but will keep you informed as we get further weather updates.
Please check social media and the college website before travelling to college for the latest update.
