Information for students: The Women’s tour, 4 October

We’ve been advised that The Women’s Tour (Bicester to Banbury) will be taking place on Monday 4 October, which may affect your journey to and from college.

The Women’s Tour is coming to Banbury and will finish right on our doorstep on Banbury South Bar. Women cycling

Due to the nature of the event, there may be some disruption, as road closures and parking restrictions will be needed to safely allow the cycling race to come through.

There will be a full closure on South Bar all day, with car park closures on the evening before. There will be times when the race passes where we will have to restrict all access to safely let the riders come through.

The cycling race is predicted to come into Banbury via the Broughton Road and West Bar Street at approximately 2pm and will then head out of Banbury on Bloxham Road before coming back along the Broughton Road again, for a predicted South Bar finish just after 3pm. There will be restrictions to access during these times.
